Every consumer guide and Mac-savvy pal I knew told me, “Wait until after the October Apple event before you buy.” So I was patient, and I waited. Then I saw the Mac Mini had last been updated in fall of 2012. A few months ago I had set my sights on a new Mac Mini to be its replacement.

I still like my 30-inch Apple Cinema Display and my peripherals, but my first-generation Mac Pro has been looking a bit long in the tooth of late. Using BlackMagic Mini Recorder receiving HDMI input from a Roland V-02HD 2 channel switcher. My specs are:Ģ012 Mac Mini, 16GB RAM, i5 Quad core, 1tb SSD, Intel HD graphics, OSX Mojave Last week, we streamed at 720, and this week, I can't get more than 540. I've searched here, and can't really find an answer for minimum specs using a Mac Mini. I'm brand new to streaming video, and I have gotten a lot of help from reading this forum to get our live stream working last week, including using a filter to offset video! What a great support group this is!
